Background

Posobiec was born and raised in Norristown, Pennsylvania, to a family of Polish descent. His parents were both Democrats. He studied political science and broadcast journalism at Temple University, graduating with a B.A. in 2006. After graduating from Temple University, Posobiec spent two years living in China working in international business and learning to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese.

Posobiec served several years in the United States Navy Reserve from 2010 to 2017, reaching the rank of lieutenant junior grade. He was deployed for ten months at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base from September 2012 and worked at the Office of Naval Intelligence, where he later worked again as a civilian. In 2014, he joined the Office of Naval Intelligence as an officer at the Kennedy Irregular Warfare Center, which provided intelligence to Navy Special Warfare and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. His military record has been disputed: despite having won awards for his time in the Naval Reserve, in February 2017 he had his security clearance suspended. In March 2017, Posobiec resigned from his full-time civilian position at ONI, saying that his support for Trump led to a "toxic work environment."

During the 2016 election, Posobiec was a special projects director of the political organization Citizens for Trump. He has written three non-fiction books: Citizens for Trump: The Inside Story of the People's Movement to Take Back America, 4D Warfare: A Doctrine for a New Generation of Politics, and Antifa: Inside the Black Bloc. He left One America News Network in 2021 and joined Human Events and Turning Point USA, the platforms on which his current influence is based.

Every day, Posobiec brings the latest breaking news from coast to coast on one of the highest-rated podcasts and shows in the conservative movement. He is also a frequent guest host of War Room with Steve Bannon and The Charlie Kirk Show. As Human Events Daily host, Posobiec has framed Trump's renewed trade confrontation with China as a major shift in U.S. economic policy, arguing the administration is directly challenging decades of globalization and outsourcing that weakened American industry. His commentary spans foreign policy, immigration, culture war disputes, and personnel debates inside the administration, consistently positioned as advocacy for the most assertive nationalist positions.

Posobiec claimed that he joined top U.S. officials including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on a trip to Ukraine, posting a selfie from a conference room featuring Ukrainian and U.S. flags and claiming he was at a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Posobiec later told Politico that he joined Bessent's delegation as part of the press corps. The Washington Post first reported that Posobiec had been invited to join Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's European trip. A U.S. official confirmed to NPR that Posobiec had been invited on Hegseth's trip but did not go.

Posobiec's inclusion on trips by Trump officials is part of a wider trend of the new administration welcoming far-right media into official settings. Posobiec has also appeared in the White House briefing room, occupying the "New Media" seat. Posobiec's prominence has always coexisted with a documented record of promoting false or misleading content. He first gained notoriety for spreading the "Pizzagate" conspiracy theory, which eventually led to a man shooting a gun in a Washington, D.C., pizzeria in 2016. The conspiracy theory claimed that Democratic politicians were engaged in systematic pedophilic abuse. The false rumor inspired a gunman to fire multiple shots inside a crowded Washington, D.C., pizza restaurant in 2016. No one was hurt. His 2024 CPAC appearance drew wide attention. Words actually uttered on stage at the 2024 Conservative Political Action Conference by Posobiec were not a joke. The allegation was notable given that Posobiec has been an outspoken advocate for aggressive voter-fraud enforcement.
